The full-overlay door style leaves about an 1/4" clearance on the edge. Depending on the decorative hardware being installed, a narrow clearance (usually 1/2" is sufficient, but may need to be larger depending on hardware style) may be necessary to make sure cabinet doors mounted against a wall open properly. This is only if there is a wall to the left or right of a cabinet (not in between every wall cabinet). A space may not be needed, but just be aware it may be necessary depending on the decorative hardware is being used.
