Are you the owner of a shiny new kitchen appliance? Maybe you were thrilled when you un-wrapped it, but now are unsure what to do with it. Or maybe you’re just looking for a good recipe to try out. Have no fear —we’ve got you covered. Take a look at these three commonly gifted appliances and nine delicious recipes to make with them:
KitchenAid Stand Mixer
This is the granddaddy of all mixers, and it will last for years. A stand mixer is fairly simple to use and requires little assembly. The main difference is whether you were given a bowl-lift or tilt-head model. If you were given the latter, then the head of the mixer can be unlocked and tilted back to remove the bowl. Each one comes with three mixing attachments: a flat beater, wire whip, and dough hook. The flat beater is great for everything from creaming frosting to mixing cookie dough, while the wire whip is better for incorporating air into mixtures. The dough hook is pretty self-explanatory.
You can also buy attachments for your mixers such as a pasta roller, grain mill and food grinder! Need a little inspiration? Check out what you can do and make with your new stand mixer:
Mix cookie dough for these better-for-you Cranberry Orange Nut cookies.

Maybe you’re looking to slim down or get healthier this year. A juicer is a great appliance for eating more nutritiously or just making fresh orange juice in the morning! Basically, a juicer separates the pulp from the juice of raw produce, making it easier to consume. Juicers come in all different kinds of makes and models, so we’d recommend looking up who makes yours if you need operating help. Here are a few new recipes to try with your juicer:

A Food Processor
This kitchen workhorse can be life-saver on busy weeknights when time is tight. Food processors operate by using a very sharp blade (be careful!) and can chop, puree, or blend foods based on the attachments you use and how long you pulse it. Most food processors will not operate unless they are in locked position. Try making these yummy foods using your new food processor:
Hummus. We like the looks of this Better-Than-Store-Bought Hummus recipe.
Salsa. This Food Network restaurant style salsa recipe makes a big batch, so invite some friends over!
